Intrepid Wolfeans can't be bothered by a little thing like a blizzard. Although up to 22 inches of snow fell on parts of New York City, 85% of those who registered for the Black Orchid banquet attended. This included hardy souls who came from Washington DC, New Hampshire, Texas and Florida. The Assembly program was well received with talks by Aurore Giscard d'Estaing, who did the title art for the recent A & E TV series, Andrew McAleer, who shared reminiscences of his father and Mr. Stout, and Rene Russo, a
pastry chef. The dinner, at Café Centro and prepared by Chef Franck Deletrain, was worthy of Fritz and may be the best meal ever served to the Pack. The standing ovation he received was well earned.
