Although the books give addresses that place Nero Wolfe's brownstone in the Hudson River, the Wolfe Pack located the probable fictional residence. In 1996, a plaque was affixed to 454 West 35th Street and dedicated by Commissioner Henry Stern, Department of Parks and Recreation, City of New York.

On a partly sunny Saturday in June, 1996, some 35 members of The Wolfe Pack descended on 454 West 35th Street to forever put to rest the controversy over exactly where Mr. Wolfe drank beer, raised orchids, ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and—oh, yes!—occasionally solved a murder.
